I am finally making my chicken curtains...or should I say panels. I got this pattern from the most awesome site. I love everything she designs. I don't know that the heart yo- yo will stay a part of the panel but I was just testing the overlap. There is something about this panel that is bothering me and I think it's the background. It's ho-hum.

love the "chicken scratch" applique -- very fitting. Have you thought of doing all the applique in a bright red thread? It might help set the rooster off from the background and "liven" it all up.... :-)
Love the chicken. I am designing a rooster quilt at the moment.
I'd forgotten all about Herky Jerky applique -- I've been wanting to try some on the longarm and that's the perfect technique don't you think?
Aren't her patterns great? I bought a teapot quilt pattern to go with my teacup blocks from her swap in 2008. Love your herky jerky applique. It looks good with this pattern. These panels will be such fun!
