First, I would like help. I just love the header some of you have. I have tried to follow directions to do my own and can't seem to get it to work. Can someone p-l-e-a-s-e help.
Second. Why do you use Picasa in conjunction with blogger?
Third. How do you get that really cool flickr thing in the side bar? I do have webshots and it doesn't play nicely with blogger. I would love to have something that would link my blog and photos.
Fourth. Well, I think one two and three reveal enough ignorance for one day.
Fifth. I need to make a name tag that is 3"X4". It must have borders, be quilted and finished. A reeeeel challenge. Any ideas? I can't find a pattern online that fits the criteria. I want to WIN this challenge. One girl has already hand pieced a single grandmothers flower garden block. Everything I find requires multiple blocks to make a pattern appear. All this agony and the prize is a $10.00 gift certificate to Cracker Barrel!
One more question/comment. If my little weather pixie strips down to such a sexy, rexy swimsuit when the temp is 84 degrees, what in the world does she have in her closet for 95 degrees??? I laugh every time I see her in her white swimsuit...it looks like undies!

Hi, you can find instructions for how to add a picture to your header here: http://testing-blogger-beta.blogspot.com/2006/09/adding-graphic-to-your-blog-header.html
It's nice and easy - I change my header picture all the time.
Do you have a flickr account? There are directions on Flickr fro getting that photo thing-y.
Name badge - applique something (I have one with a cat - unfortunately you have to be right up on me to read it) or a tiny pieced border around the plain white name part...
The only one I know is the Picasa - from my Picasa program I can select pictures and go directly to a blog entry. That way the pictures are clicable and they'll enlarge. It dosen't work every time for me, but nothing ever does! Picasa is a free upload from google - so Blogger-friendly.
I don't know about that swimsuit but love the sporty outfit with the belly shirt and boots!
Brenda Smith at Serendipity Quilts has a tutorial on her old blog. Heres's the URL:
http://serendipitypatchwork.blogspot.com/2006/08/how-to-create-personal-blog-banner.html
This is the one I used.
Well I took a look at those tutorials and still found them complex. I used the layout tab, hit edit where my header is, chose an image from my computer and uploaded Chesty.
First, you need to format the image you want to use - it needs to be wide and skinny - mine is 716x170.
The last thing I did was go into the HTML code of the template to adjust the *padding* of the photo to get it centered.
#header {
margin: 0;
padding: 5px 25px 5px 66px;
color: $pagetitlecolor;
background: url(http://www.blogblog.com/tictac_blue/top_h1.gif) no-repeat bottom left;
}
The Flickr badge is easy if you make a Flickr account. It's also a GREAT way to load photos into your blog- they make it so easy and create the code for you.
Oh -- I don't have any suggestions for the name tag -- but I hope you win. I was at Cracker Barrel once - great place!
I can't figure out how to get the nifty banners either but I did get a link for them - the instructions were way to complicated for me.
I use Picasa all the time. I like the way it loads my pictures from my camera and well is the fact that I can scroll through them, edit them and easily click on "blog this". The down side is you can only load a maximum of 4 photos to your blog. So if I really want to load more I use the upload button on my blog.
