A bit late but...

This was the Novemeber gift to my girls. It is the only month I failed the challenge. I had the turkeys put together but not appliqued.



I had originally thought that this was too big for a placemat but have since re-thought and think they are a great size.

Our Weekend of Napkins

A few weekends ago we got together to make napkins. By the end of the weekend, we had made
somewhere around 80 napkins between three of us. How did we make so many napkins in such a short period? This little template we had made. It is worth it's weight as you zip around it with a rotary cutter and within minutes, you have a finished product!

APPLES!

I find this so funny. I have loved these apples since the first time I saw them. I never considered making them until last few years. I looked at them and saw too much potchkying around (it's fiddly work). All of a sudden I was hell-bent on an apple pattern. I finally had one but then that potchkying thing kept me from making them. Two years later.......

A big tower of apples. It took me too long to finish them for the 2009 gift. I put them away for another day. But I can finally say that I made them!

What am I up to????

I've been busy. Yes. I have kept up with the gift a month for my girls. I forgot to photograph a few months and has changed. I still need to finish my work though. I'm thinking of continuing this gift a month until next year. It's been a challenge but fun! I'll show the finished product another day.

March Gift

Better late than never......on posting that is! Here are the March gifts I gave my girls. I do believe I used up the bulk of the bagel fabric. It is so rewarding to use something, maybe not to extinction, but enough that it is truly a scrap!

February Gift

Has been delivered.....You've seen these before but now they finally have a home!

My in-laws are visiting for two weeks. Yes I like them. No I don't find it an imposition. Yes it's tons of work keeping MIL happy. I probably won't be sewing too much over the next two weeks.

I wondered if my girls were thrilled with their gift of a gift each month. They didn't seem as excited about it as I. I was late in getting to the post office to mail Ms. A's January gift. Yesterday I called her to tell her to check her mailbox. She said, It's January 7th, I was wondering about it! I guess they are looking forward to this.
