Need inspiration...

I don't know why but I've had a harder and harder time getting into the sewing room. Why? Dunno! But it's been progressive....I really think I want to start a new project but I won't allow it until I finish at least one thing I have started. Help! Give me words of wisdom.....visual stimulation......ideas.....It's become a vicious little cycle. Can't start new because must finish old....don't feel like finishing old...........Not finishing the old is NOT an option but I can't seem to make myself do it......Perhaps I just need to whine a bit here?????? Maybe that'll help?????? A swift kick in the backside????

A little whine always helps. The strange thing is when you actually get started it often doesn't take very long to finish what you were dreading. Good luck with getting started to finish, if that makes any sense.

Maybe half and half? Work on the old one for a while, then reward yourself by starting a new one? I'm not really the best one to give advice, though...

Whining is allowed!

Maybe get in there and look through your incomplete projects. I'm sure you have one that is just almost done. Finish that one...You'll feel good!

You know, when I don't feel like doing something crafty, I don't. It usually goes badly then anyways. Don't let the guilt of unfinished projects hang over you. It's ok to not finish right away.

Seems the time between October the January is filled with other to-dos ... Maybe you just need some time away. We all seem to have our blah days/weeks when nothing looks good to sew. Take a break??? 8-)))

Just work on the old a little bit every day - and know that we are here cheering you on! You can finish!

Do you work to music? I find it really helps pass the time, especially if you're not doing a very inspirational or exciting design. Get on Pandora or go to Amazon and listen to new artists. Maybe someone will inspire you. I found two singers through Pandora that I had never heard of, and really enjoy.

Go in and start a new project. This will get you energized and sewing again, and then you can tackle an old project and finish that as well.
